Your Role

As an Architectural Designer at Parco Studio, you are expected to actively participate in all phases of the design process. You should be prepared to bring your creativity and intelligence in the form of innovative design thinking, elegant design solutions, and the ability resolve real-world design challenges through the implementation of realistic technical solutions. You should thrive on the pillars of personal responsibility, accountability, and integrity. You will coordinate with a team of architects, designers, and consultants to deliver unusually compelling architectural work.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with the design and delivery of the architectural and/or technical aspects of a project
  • Possess knowledge of architectural design principals, technical details, codes, and material characteristics
  • Providing project team coordination for the finished plans, specification, and material selections required for construction
  • Preparing and ensuring accuracy of technical documents
  • Working with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Produce architectural diagrams and drawings
  • Produce architectural models (physical and computer generated)
  • Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
  • Other assigned responsibilities

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture or foreign equivalent
  • Licensed or registered architect preferred but not required
  • 4-6 years of project experience in an architectural practice
  • 100% English speaking with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft office
  • Additional software skills in Illustrator, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Autodesk Certified are a plus
  • Working knowledge of California building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Strong leadership, communications and relationship management skills
  • Construction documentation and/or design detail development experience
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence
  • Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on various project types
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Has the ability to maintain existing client relationships as well as build new ones
