Description
The project assistant sees the work through a design lens, but is also technically proficient, especially in Revit, and organized to a fault. the right candidate is resourceful, flexible, and thinks creatively. The project assistant has experience working on projects from concept through design, detailing, and final documentation. Junior designers are well-versed in technical, code, and sustainable design practices.
Working collaboratively with the entire brick team, the project assistant is able to switch between design projects at different scales, and adapts well to varied work styles and personalities. The project assistant is not timid about sharing or presenting their ideas and is able to articulate those ideas visually using the latest technology. They are deadline oriented, they speak up, they ask questions to keep their work on track, and are eager to jump in and create.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture (m.arch preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in an architecture office (internships not counted).
- Working knowledge Revit to produce documents is strongly desired. AutoCAD and other 3d modeling software (SketchUp/rhino/3d max) desired. Lumion a plus.
- Strong design, technical detailing, coordination, rendering, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in microsoft office suite and bluebeam revu.
- Fluency with adobe creative suite.
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
- Team-oriented. Desire to work in a collaborative environment with the design team, clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the u.s.
